SAND EDITION / VARIANT
Sand Sudoku
Plain sudoku on a bed of warm sand.
Click a cell, then a digit. Arrow keys move, 1–9 place, Backspace clears.
Rules
A standard 9×9 sudoku with nothing added. What changes is the surface: fine grains, warm ochre, digits pressed into the sand, and a soft granular crunch as each one lands.
- Each row, column and 3×3 box holds 1–9 exactly once — no extra rules.
- Digits stamp into the sand with a gritty, low crunch.
- Completing a row or box lets the row slump — a long soft collapse of grains.
- Three difficulties, hints available, progress saved in this browser.
Good to know
Ordinary sudoku rules still apply underneath the variant: every row, column and 3×3 box holds 1–9 exactly once. The extra rule sits on top and is usually what breaks the puzzle open.
