GLASS / VARIANT
Renban Sudoku
Each grey line holds a run of consecutive digits.
Click a cell, then a digit. Arrow keys move, 1–9 place, Backspace clears.
Rules
A renban line carries a set of consecutive digits in any order. A three-cell renban might be 3-5-4 or 5-3-4; a four-cell line might be 7-5-8-6. The digits are never repeated and never skip a value.
- Digits on a renban line form a consecutive set, in any order.
- A line of length n contains n different digits with max − min = n − 1.
- Order is irrelevant — only the set matters.
- A three-cell line is always one of 123, 234, … 789 in disguise.
Good to know
Ordinary sudoku rules still apply underneath the variant: every row, column and 3×3 box holds 1–9 exactly once. The extra rule sits on top and is usually what breaks the puzzle open.
