Arrow Sudoku

The circle equals the sum of its arrow.

Click a cell, then a digit. Arrow keys move, 1–9 place, Backspace clears.

Rules

An arrow is a sum: the digit in the circled cell equals the total of every digit along the shaft. Arrows are drawn from a short arm, so the sums stay small and the deductions stay sharp.

  • The circle digit equals the sum of all digits on its arm.
  • The circle itself is not part of the sum.
  • Digits repeat freely on the arm as long as sudoku allows it.
  • A two-cell arrow is just a pair: circle = the single arm cell.

Good to know

Ordinary sudoku rules still apply underneath the variant: every row, column and 3×3 box holds 1–9 exactly once. The extra rule sits on top and is usually what breaks the puzzle open.
